Abracadabra, allacazoo you’re invited to share in the magic – Zoofari 2012! Help the Gladys Porter Zoo continue to inspire, educate and captivate the multitudes of children in the Rio Grande Valley by attending Zoofari ‘12, the biggest fundraiser of the year. With a wave of a wand, sparks will fly during this two-night affair. Proceeds will be set aside to complete construction of the South Texas Discovery Center, our new education facility. The South Texas Discovery Center will increase the Zoo’s education space by 385%. It will encompass 9,717 square feet of space. The center will feature five classrooms, natural history library, graphic arts room and campfire area for Starlight Safaris.
