For your convenience, our concession stands offer a wide variety of food and beverages. (Sorry, food may not be brought into the Zoo.) Groups can order in advance by contacting conc@gpz.org or calling (956) 546-0050.

Gift Shop
Pick up a souvenir on your visit to the Zoo! Our gift shop features many items such as t-shirts, stuffed animals, books, jewelry, toys, and much more. Strollers, wheelchairs and wagons are also available for rent at the Zoo's Gift Shop.

Safari Express Train Tour
The Safari Express, runs each Sunday, approximately every hour from 1:30p.m. - 3:30p.m., weather permitting. Adults $2.00, children (2-13) $1.00. The train may also be reserved for groups; reservations must be made two to three weeks in advance.

Special Train Rates: $75 (minimum) for a maximum of 35 people. If more than 35 people want to ride, a separate run will be required for each 35 people, or portion thereof. The train is also available for rent after hours for $100.00.

Gladys Porter is ready to host your next event. We have facilities on Zoo grounds available for rent to accommodate various types of events, such as birthday parties, weddings, quinceñeras, meetings and corporate retreats.
