The Gladys Porter Zoo will hold its 19th annual “Boo at the Zoo” celebration Thursday, Oct. 30 and Friday, Oct.31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Come out for a ghoulishly good time at this alternative trick-or-treat – perfect for kids, teens and families alike!

TICKET INFORMATION
Tickets are on sale at the Gladys Porter Zoo office for the discounted rate of $2.50 per person from now until 5 p.m. on Oct. 29. Starting Oct. 30, tickets will be $3.50 per person for purchase either at the Zoo office or any of the “Boo at the Zoo” entrances.

ENTRANCES
To alleviate congestion, there will be a total of three entrances; the main Zoo gate, a side gate off of 6th St., and a members-only entrance at the Zoo’s side exit. Parking will be available but is limited so be sure to arrive early or consider carpooling.

ZOO MEMBERS
Zoo membership has its privileges like free admission to “Boo at the Zoo” and special members-only hour at 5 p.m. Members need to show their membership card at the members only entrance (Gate near exit turnstiles) to get their free tickets. We recommend members pick-up their tickets in advance. Members will need to show proof of their membership by bringing their cards and a driver’s license. If the cards were lost or stolen, please contact the Zoo office at (956) 546-7187 ext. 310 to purchase replacement cards.

TREAT & GAME STATIONS
There will be more than 65 different game and treat stations. Most games cost one ticket (25 cents) to play, except where noted. Games include: Calk Walk (3 tickets), Witches Brew, Ring Toss, Duck Pond, Turtle Toss, Bowling, Ball Toss, Pin the Nose, Topple the Monster, Frog Jump, Pop Gun, Panning for Gold and Headless Horseman.

HAUNTED HOUSE (8 tickets)
This year's haunted house is a horrifying 360 ft. maze with eight different chilling scenes. It is over 5,000 sq. ft. of terror. Not recommended for young children.

COSTUME CONTEST
Kids, teens and families of all ages are encouraged to come out in their favorite Halloween costumes. Enter our costume contest each night. The prize is a Family Membership to the Zoo for a Year.

PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST
1st through 8th grade students are invited to participate in the Gladys Porter Zoo's Pumpkin Carving Contest for prizes. The pumpkins will be displayed during both nights of Boo at the Zoo. MORE HALLOWEEN ACTIVITIES
Stick around to see live dance and martial arts performances in the amphitheater. Then, get your face painted for one ticket. Before you leave don't forget to get a family picture for ten tickets and enter our free raffle to win the largest Halloween stocking full of toys.
