Gladys Porter Zoo

The Gladys Porter Zoo is an oasis nestled in the center of Brownsville, Texas. With 26 acres of lush tropical plants and some 1,600 animals, the Gladys Porter Zoo is known for its successes in breeding endangered species of wildlife.

The Gladys Porter Zoo will be hosting a charity Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Zoo’s capital campaign projects.

Baby Gorilla Officially Named

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden announced that Kiazi’s 4-week-old baby gorilla officially has a name – “Gladys Stones!”
